A joint team of Bihar and Gujarat police on Wednesday arrested a 28-year-old man for allegedly threatening to "bomb out" the residence of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Ankit Kumar Mishra was interrogated to know why he made the threat call.
Patna's Senior Superintendent of Police Rajiv Mishra said the suspect was arrested from Laskana in Gujarat's Surat. A threat complaint was filed in Patna on March 20.
Subsequently, a special investigation team was formed to investigate the matter. Mishra was identified and traced to Surat. Mishra, a native of Bihar's Vaishali district, will be produced before a Surat court for transit custody and then transferred to Bihar.
In 2018, one Pramod Kumar was arrested from Patna for threatening to kill Kumar. Kumar also received a death threat via SMS in 2015.
